Planning your child's Shichi-Go-San photos in Osaka? K2 Photo Studio in Tamatsukuri is a 3-minute walk from Tamatsukuri Inari Shrine and just minutes from Osaka Castle. We capture the milestone ages of 3, 5, and 7 beautifully — both on location at the shrine and in our calm studio — so the whole family can relax and enjoy the day.
Why Tamatsukuri and a shrine shoot in Osaka
Tamatsukuri is a quiet, characterful neighbourhood centred on the historic Tamatsukuri Inari Shrine. Without the crowds of busier tourist spots, we can shoot at your child's own pace and catch genuine, unhurried expressions. We particularly recommend pairing a shrine visit with a location shoot.
You can choose between two shrines:

What's included, kimono dressing and hair styling
Both shrine plans are ¥55,000 and include the shoot plus your photo data. We also offer professional kimono dressing (kitsuke) and hair styling as options, so you can arrive empty-handed and be ready for the shrine visit and photos on the day. Bringing your own kimono is welcome too — just ask.
Families with a younger child often combine the session with Omiyamairi newborn photography (Data plan, ¥49,500) or Omiyamairi Premium (¥68,200). Sibling portraits are a lovely addition.
When to shoot and book
Shichi-Go-San booking season runs from June to November, and shrine and studio shoots peak in October and November. Weekends and auspicious dates fill up fast, so reserve early once your date is set.
A summer or early-autumn early shoot (maedori) lets you avoid the crowds, keeps things easy for your child, and frees the actual festival day for a relaxed shrine visit.
Frequently asked questions
What ages can I book for?
We photograph the traditional Shichi-Go-San ages of 3, 5, and 7, for boys and girls alike. Sibling sessions are very welcome.
Can I arrange kimono and hair on the day?
Yes. Kimono dressing and hair styling are available as options — just let us know when you book. We can also work with a kimono you bring.
What happens if it rains?
If the weather makes a shrine shoot difficult, we can switch to a studio session or reschedule. Please feel free to ask.
